As a Kardashian fan, I have kept up with each product, app, fashion trend, and show that these sisters create or endorse. So when Kardashians came out with their own hair product line I was eager to try it for myself. After all Kourtney, Kim and Khloe are known for their long, luscious locks.
Critics don’t believe they can create products of substance, but my goal is to provide you with an honest product review based off of how my hair reacted to the products.
The main ingredient in the Kardashian Beauty Hair Care and Styling products is black seed oil that comes from Nigella Sativa, a flowering plant that is native to dry climates of the Mediterranean region. This plant continues to thrive in this particular climate because it is known to retain its moisture.
The Kardashians’ hair always seems to be glossy and healthy-this is the focus of their line. The Kardashian Beauty Hair Care products include: Black Seed Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo, Conditioner, Liquid Hydration Masque and Leave-In Conditioner Mist. The Styling products include: “Twirl Me Curl Defining Cream Gel,” “Take 2 Dry Shampoo and Conditioner,” “Smooth Styler Blow Dry Cream,” “Pure Glitz Hair Spray,” “K-Body Volume Foam,” and “Black Seed Dry Oil.”
The products that I tried out were the Rejuvenating Shampoo, Conditioner, Blow Dry Cream, Black Seed Dry Oil, and the “Pure Glitz Hair Spray.”
My hair and skin tend to be on the oily side, so when I used the moisture-rich shampoo and conditioner, I was overwhelmed with the heavy consistency of the products. Ibelieve that for oily hair, the Rejuvenating Conditioner is best used every once in a while for a deep conditioning.
The Blow Dry Cream, on the other hand, exceeded expectations. This product is useful for when you are about to put a lot of heat on your hair when styling, and it helps keep your hair from drying out. I applied a couple small drops to my palms and massaged the product thoroughly on the ends of my hair and then worked my way up. Experts recommend that you never put a product like this on your roots because this can make your hair more oily. My ends felt extremely healthy after using this product, just like I had just gotten a trim at the salon.
The Black Seed Dry Oil is great for putting the final touches on your styled hair. This products is best used when you want your styled waves and curls to look more natural. When I first wave or curl my hair I use a lot of hairspray so nothing falls, but then I find that my hair can almost look hardened because of the various products I used. Putting a very small amount of the Black Seed Dry Oil in my hands and then running the fingers through the hair can help to break up the structured girls. Twirling some pieces of hair around my fingers can also help make the curls look more natural. This product gave my hair a natural shine and glossy feel and took my styled hair to a star quality level.
To finish off the look of my natural waves and curls, I used the Pure Glitz Hair Spray. For a night out, spraying the ends of your hair, where the bulk of the curls are, with some of the “Pure Glitz” can ensure that your curls will stay all night. The hairspray is also infused with Black Seed Oil so your hair doesn’t feel sticky.
My experience with Kardashian Beauty Haircare and Styling products was amazing. The styling products seem to work better for me than the shampoo and conditioner, but I think every hair type could benefit from one product or another in this line. The scents, feel of the hair, and overall results speak for themselves, and I hope my experience is able to guide you in how and when to use these products.
