This Dating App Sets You Up With People Who Hate the Same Stuff as You

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, there’s no time like the present to give a new dating app a try – and we’re not talking about just another Tinder either.

Aptly named Hater, this new dating app that’s set to launch on February 8 is designed to match you with people that hate the same things you do. Because, TBH, shared passions are overrated, and there’s nothing quite like being able to complain about the same irritating stuff together.

Hater works by having users respond to various topics (there are currently 2,000 and counting, to be exact) by swiping – up for love, down for hate, left for dislike and right for like. There’s also an “opt out” option if a topic doesn’t necessarily bring up any specific feelings, and you can even see what percentage of people responded in what way. From there, the app uses your answers to match you with someone who is willing to rant right alongside you about everything from Donald Trump to how much it sucks to pay extra for guac.

In case you’ve struggled with Tinder and have all but given up on Bumble, Hater just might be the way to go considering you’ll get your matches based on personality and not looks – and hey, at least you know you’ll have something to talk about on the date.
