Fear not Beliebers, despite recent rumors, your favorite crooning cutie is healthy.

Last week hackers who pledge allegiance to 4chan were up to their old tricks. The agenda? Bieber sabotage.

The notorious internet pranksters manufactured a screenshot of the verified twitter handle of Entertainment Tonight, @ETonlineAlert, and shocked the united nations of Beliebers.

The tweet read, “Pop star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer earlier this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show their support.” Above the tweet was two pictures of teen girls with shaved heads and the hashtag “#Baldforbieber”.

And it doesn’t stop there. The hackers then created a screen shot of a tweet from J. Biebs himself, taking the prank a step further. “Several of my AWESOME supporters are shaving their heads to help get me through this! I love my fans! #BaldforBieber,” they write.

Throughout the past week, over 900 fans have tweeted #BaldforBieber. In record time, #BaldforBieber was trending through the Twitterverse, BaldforBieber.com was launched and Facebook and YouTube pages were created.

While there’s no evidence fans actually shaved their heads for the cause, the hoax definitely threw pop culture for a loop.

Beibs hasn’t mentioned anything about the hoax but his bodyguard Kenny Hamilton denounced the rumor via Twitter.
