After years of playing princesses on the silver screen, Anne Hathaway got to act like one in real life! Hollywood's sweetheart was married on Saturday evening in an outdoor private ceremony in Big Sur, California. She married actor and jewelry designer Adam Shulman, who she has been dating since 2008 according to E! Online.
Just like the down-to-earth princesses she plays on-screen, Anne didn't get too elaborate for the festivities. The fresh air ceremony was complemented by a simple rustic theme, with natural and vintage style decor that included rustic branches, twigs, ivory roses and wooden tables, according to E!. The flowers stole the show, though, according to Perez Hilton, who reveals that the pink and white floral arrangements took over a week to create. Pair all that with the glow of the setting California sun, and you can just imagine the natural beauty!
Anne kept it simple for herself, too. She wore a gorgeous custom-made off-the-shoulder Valentino dress, E! reports. She paired the gown with a simple veil and a 1920's style headband, but otherwise wore no jewelry according to People. With 180 guests, the wedding was fairly intimate by Hollywood standards, Perez reports.
Although the couple has released no official photos from the event, there are a few shots of Anne's gorgeous gown floating around. Check out her and her new hubby looking adorable after they exchanged their vows!
We're so happy for you, Anne and Adam!
