A Man Who’s Been Eating Chipotle for 155 Days Straight Shares His 3 Best Chipotle Hacks

Andrew Hawryluk, a 23-year-old animator from Los Angeles, has taken Chipotle fandom to the next level. This year, instead of giving something up for lent, Andrew decided to commit to eating Chipotle at least once a day. After 46 days of what he called Chipotlent, he decided to keep going on his quest to be Chipotle’s best customer. It’s been 155 days and he’s still going strong! As you might imagine, after spending over $1,500 at the Mexican chain, he’s learned a thing or two about the best ways to order.

1. How to get guacamole without paying extra

Who doesn’t love Chipotle’s guacamole? While the avocado spread may be irresistible, the extra $2.10 isn’t a small price to pay, especially if you’re getting it everyday! According to Andrew, the best way to get out of paying extra is getting lettuce on top.

“Nine times out of ten during the lunch rush, they’ll see the lettuce and not see the guacamole under it because it’s the same color,” Hawryluk says.

2. How to get the most of your double meat order

According to Andrew, there’s an optimal way to order double meat.

“If you are going to get double meat, ask for single meat. When they ask you what kind of meat you want, just say chicken and then once they start moving on to the next station, just say, “Hey, can I actually get double?” They’ll have to bring it back and get you an equivalent scoop because they already showed their hand in how much one scoop is,” Andrew claims this method will get you more chicken for your buck.

3. Never get tacos to-go

Hawryluk’s number one rule is never getting tacos to-go. He says they get too soggy when they’re wrapped up. If you’re going to get tacos eat them at the restaurant instead.

Besides these Chipotle hacks, Andrew claims to be healthier since starting this Chipotle binge. His cholesterol even went down. So collegiettes, maybe a Chipotle diet may be the next big thing!
