As kids, we used to celebrate Halloween every October 31. You'd dress up in a costume from a pop-up Halloween store and use a pillowcase to collect your candy loot. You'd parade around school in your costume as your mom took pictures and the class moms set up orange juice and black and orange cupcakes to have at the end of the day. Ah, the good old days.

But now, in college, Halloween gets tricky. It is nearly impossible to celebrate only one night of Halloween. There is "Halloween weekend" and actual Halloween. And don't even think about wearing the same costume twice.

Luckily, Her Campus is here to help you with that last one — coming up with unique costumes to wear every night of Halloween. And while you may be tempted to settle for last year's French maid costume (although we are seriously begging you not to do that) — we bet you'll be tempted to try out one of the top 20 Halloween costumes for 2012 below!

Pregnant Snooki
Here's your chance to recycle your costume from 2010. Grab the hair spray for your poof, that awful leopard skirt, and the trashiest t-shirt you can find. Now just add a beach ball on your belly and you're now the 2012 Mom of the Year — Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

Sophia Grace & Rosie
While the British sensations took over YouTube just before Halloween 2011 — not many people jumped on the band wagon with this ingenious costume. Grab your BFF and get yourselves matching tutus, belt out some Nicki Minaj and wow everyone with your moves. Bonus points if you get someone to dress up as Ellen DeGeneres.

Honey Boo Boo
This obviously won't be the sexiest Halloween costume this year, but it could be the funniest. Here is your chance to put on your redneck charm, chug some go-go juice, and party like you're a 7-year-old pageant queen.

Mark Zuckerberg
Be the richest person at your Halloween party this year! The Facebook founder is always found in a hoodie - so that's easy enough. Challenge someone to a coding contest and complain about that darn Social Network movie.
