Packing Made Fabulous!

It's that deliriously taunting time of year when spring break is so close you can almost taste it, yet the days seem to drag on forever. And then, of course, you have to pack. Ugh. Pack. Packing. Unpacking. No matter how you put it, no matter what it's for - it feels like a chore. And heaven knows we all hate chores. Remember when your mom would say, "Sure, you can go out. But first you have to clean your room." I'm pretty sure packing is the world's equivalent - "Sure, you can go on a fabulous vacation. But... first you have to pack."

There's two types of packers in the world - the clueless and the neurotic. The clueless are the ones who think it's ok to leave on a trip with nothing but your toothbrush and an extra shirt. My best friend, Morgan, is one of these. She used to always go on vacation with my family bringing only a purse the size of a ziplock bag. Being the control freak that I am, I would flip out, demanding to know what she planned to do with only two items. As any carefree, go-with-the-flow, relaxed kind of person would do, she'd simply shrug her shoulders and laugh at my seemingly ridiculous inquiry.

The neurotic packers, however, are the ones (like myself) who insist on bringing every item in their closet along on even the shortest of trip. (My senior year spring break, I went to Florida for 5 days and brought the THREE BIGGEST suitcases my family owned.) Because these freaks of nature are terrified at the thought of wanting something they left at home, we bring even our winter coats when we vacation in the Bahamas (true story. another true story - I didn't need it. say what?)
