12 Wines That Should Always Be Paired With Girl Scout Cookies

Move over, milk. Girl Scout Cookies have a new BFF — wine.

It’s Girl Scout Cookie season, and we’ve been on the lookout for anybody, anywhere, selling the delectable treats. What we didn’t think that we’d need to make a stop by the wine store, too. Vivino’s mouthwatering guide to pairing wine with these cookies has us even more excited for those Samoas.

Wine expert Jessica Norris, who was named one of Wine Enthusiasts Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers, takes dessert to a whole new level. She’s put together a handy list of all the Girl Scout Cookies and what to drink with them:

  1. Thin Mints with Brunello
  2. Tagalong/Peanut Butter Patties with Amarone

  3. Samoas/Caramel Delites with Rioja

  4. Trefoils/Shortbread  with German Riesling

  5. Do-Si-Dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich with California Zinfandel

  6. Cranberry Citrus Crisps with New Zealand Pinot Noir

  7. Lemonades with Italian Roero Arneis

  8. Rah-Rah Raisins with Bordeaux

  9. Savannah Smiles with Sancerre

  10. Thanks-A-Lot with Bandol Rouge

  11. Toffee-Tastic with Chateauneuf-du-Pape

  12. Trios with Washington State Syrah

So the next time you order that box of Girl Scout Cookies, make sure to pick up a bottle (or more) of wine, too!
