Friday, March 12, 2010

Hi everyone,

Thank you for continuing to provide us with feedback about the Mr. Wellesley Freshman contest and to voice your concerns. After taking some time to consider all that we've heard from you and figure out some logistics on our end, we have decided, in conjunction with the Her Campus Wellesley team, to restart the contest for Wellesley to allow you another opportunity to nominate contestants.

We want you to know that we have heard your concerns. We are listening. We want Wellesley to be included in the Mr. Campus Freshman contest.

Here is the information on the new Mr. Wellesley First-Year contest:

The contest will now be called Mr. Wellesley First-Year and will run from now (March 12) until March 15. This contest is open to everyone. All candidates must be students at Wellesley.

Here is the information on the new contest, taken directly from the contest homepage:

"Who will represent Wellesley?

We are now accepting open nominations for Mr. Wellesley First-Year.

Nominated students will need to answer questions and provide a photo of themselves.

After all students are nominated, voting will be opened up on March 15th. The student with the most votes will be crowned Mr. Wellesley First-Year and will move on to the national competition. The winner of the national competition will win a $500 gift card from Jack Wills University Outfitters (www.jackwills.com).

Do you have any questions you want the candidates to answer? If so, please email them to Katie at katiec@hercampus.com by March 14 at 5 PM EST.

All nominations must be received by 5 PM EST March 14. Nominees must be able to get their photo and information to Katie by midnight on March 14. Voting for Mr. Wellesley First Year will take place on Her Campus Wellesley from March 15 to March 16.

Nominations can be made by clicking here."

Please feel free to email us with any further questions, concerns, thoughts, etc. We are continuing to listen to you and to do our best to serve you: the women of Wellesley.
