Kesha’s Bob Dylan Cover at the Billboard Music Awards Receives a Standing Ovation

Kesha isn’t letting legal troubles get in the way of her art.

She took the stage Sunday night at the Billboard Music Awards to perform a soulful rendition of Bob Dylan’s classic “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

Just last week, news broke that Kesha wouldn’t be performing at this year’s award show after Dr. Luke and his label, Kemosabe Records, chose to rescind permission to take the stage. After significant backlash and a touching performance at a Los Angeles concert, Kemosabe Records backtracked and decided to allow the singer to perform her Bob Dylan cover after all.

And we sure are glad they did, because it was a powerful, emotional performance that (rightfully) brought her audience to its feet. Time and time again, we’re reminded of Kesha’s incredible talent—and we can’t wait to see what she does next.
