Jennifer Lawrence and Aziz Ansari are giving us major friendship-envy following the pair’s super cute Valentine’s Day gathering. Last night, the two actors were spotted dining at Commodore, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Before you jump to conclusions, the duo appeared completely platonic, simply enjoying their time together—while munching on nachos, macaroni and cheese, and fried chicken. According to an onlooker, J. Law and Aziz “looked friendly and were showing each other stuff on their iPhones and chatting and laughing.”
While catching up, the actors indulged in wine and classic comfort dishes. Jennifer was reportedly seen dipping her sandwich into a pile of ketchup and throwing her head back with laughter (typical J. Law behavior). “They tried lots of different food and looked like they had a lot of fun. They looked like really good friends,” the source added. Jennifer and Aziz were also seen asking a bartender to take a photo on Aziz’s phone.
For those wondering, this isn’t the first time the friends have been spotted having a good time together. Last October, Jennifer was photographed giving Aziz a piggyback ride to his car, after leaving a Saturday Night Live afterparty.
So basically, Valentine’s Day is not just a day for lovers, and it doesn’t have to involve large-scale, romantic gestures? Count us in!
