The Top 5 Fashion Sites to Bookmark NOW!
Style inspiration can come from anywhere, but one of my places to get sartorial inspiration is online. These five sites each provide insight into the fashion world and ideas for how you can rework what you already have in your closet (sort of essential when you're on a collegiette™ budget, right?).
Refinery29

Fact: I begin every morning by showering, drinking a giant cup of coffee, and checking Refinery29. As much as I love fashion and style, I don’t really consider myself a “fashion person.” The world of Vogue and W always feel a bit too high-brow and intimating for me and I’m never entirely sure on how to properly pronounce Givenchy (Give-on-chee? Gee-en-chi? Whatever.). Refinery29 looks at fashion with a sense of humor. It’s sarcastic and snarky, but still service-oriented. They cover everything from fashion inspiration to fashion tips to fashion news and they do it all with their tongue lodged in their cheek.
Who What Wear

Who What Wear is a great place to get celeb-driven fashion inspiration. My favorite part is that they typically post street style photos of the most stylish celebrities, so you see their real style — not what a stylist put together. Plus, celebs (like Rachel Bilson and Elizabeth Olsen) come on the site to act as “Guest Editors,” which basically means spilling their favorite items, best style tips, and shopping secrets.
Racked

Racked is my go-to stop for fashion news. It doesn’t really have styling tips, but, if you’re interested in the world of fashion, it’s a great site to frequent. It’s updated often and the information is easily digestible. Plus, the range is wide — you’ll learn about everything from what’s going on in haute couture to what’s happening at H&M.
The Sartorialist

Scott Schuman began The Sartorialist “with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and its relationship to daily life.” He’s a deeply talented photography (he’s been featured everywhere from Vogue to GQ), but what’s really impressive is his eye for street style. The images he snaps of real people (you know, not celebrities with crazy bank accounts) are equal parts stunning and inspiring.
The Coveted

What I love about Jennine Jacobs’s personal fashion blog is how often you see her repeat the same pieces — in totally different ways. It’s easy to have fabulous style when your closet is the size of the average dorm room, but when you have a normal size wardrobe, it can be a bit trickier. Jennine shows how you can rework the same blazer, dress, boots, whatever in a ton of different ways and for a ton of different seasons. Brilliant!
