Recap: The 2011 Hollywood Style Awards

Last night, fashion’s finest showed up at LA’s Smashbox Studios for the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards. They may not be as big as the Oscars or the Emmys, but these awards are still important. Especially for us fashionistas! Did you miss out on this award show? No worries, fashionistas, we have you covered!

The Guest List

This year’s red carpet was filled with some of chicest people on the west coast: Khloe Kardashian-Odom, Serena Williams, Selma Blair, Zoe Saldana, Eva Longoria, Mandy Moore, Kristin Davis, Jaime King and even Jeremiah Brent from The Rachel Zoe Project were just some of the stylish attendees.  I know, fashionistas, I’m jealous too.

The Winners

The winners’ list is basically a “who’s who” in young Hollywood. Not only did the Jenner sisters claim victory, but Chloe Moretz was recognized for her cool style. See for yourself!

The Red Carpet

The red carpet is my absolute favorite part of any awards show. Thankfully, Hollywood’s most fabulous fashionistas were dressed to impress. Check out some of the night’s best looks.

Rose McGowan (Dolce&Gabbana): I’m borderline obsessed with lace. In my opinion, anything with lace epitomizes feminine fashion. However, lace can also look like your grandmother’s old curtains. Thanks to this dress’ short hem, McGowan looks youthful and super chic. The red peep-toes give this look a “wow” factor, which is the perfect way to spice up a black ensemble.

Eva Longoria (Victoria Beckham): Longoria looks sophisticated without looking matronly. The figure-flattering silhouette is super sexy; however, the longer hemline and high neckline are classic. To keep this look youthful, Longoria incorporated the side ponytail and dangling earrings.

Jaime King (Calvin Klein): This look is so effortlessly cool. The simple silhouette of the dress perfectly complements the muted squares on the dress as well as the sheer skirt. The feminine hair and makeup gives this look a refined feel.

Kylie Jenner (Collette Dinnigan): I love Jenner’s super edgy look: this outfit is a cool alternative to your typical white top and black skirt combination. This look is all about putting eclectic pieces together in order to create an amazing ensemble. The asymmetrical skirt perfectly contrasts the sophisticated shirt. Also, those funky heels add a dash of personal style!

Kelsey Chow*: This look is the perfect mix of feminine and rocker chic! The black booties and accessories beautifully contrast the dress’ classic silhouette.  Also, a red lip equals instant glamour!

Sarah Carroll*: There are two things I love in fashion: long-sleeved mini dresses and sequins. Translation? I love this dress: it’s super glamorous and fun!  The plain heels are perfect because they allow the sparkly dress to be the focal point of this whole look. The loose waves are the perfect finishing touch!

* The dresses’ designers weren’t published at the time of this blog post, but these looks are too fabulous to ignore!

Congratulations to all of the winners!
