Natural hair is finally increasingly celebrated in mainstream media, as celebrities such as Zendaya and Halle Berry, as well as models such as Maria Borges, let their natural textures shine. One artist took it to a whole other new level, making gorgeous art with her natural hair. Hers are definitely not your typical hairstyles, but rather legit art that will blow you socks off. An Ivory Coast native, 21-year-old fashion designer Laetitia Ky is the creative force behind an Instagram account with 17.6k followers to date.
Ky creates a variety of “hair sculptures” with her tresses, and it’s absolutely jaw-dropping. Over time, her work has drawn lots of attention, and with good reason. “I’m very happy that lots of people are sharing my art,” she told Buzzfeed. “It encourages me a lot, but at the same time, I feel a bit of pressure from the expectations for my future work. I really hope I will be up to it!” We don’t doubt that one bit. Just look at this talent:
