Finals will soon be over and everyone will be headed home for the holidays, so it’s time for a holiday-inspired manicure! Using NCLA’s holiday duo kits, I created a fun twist to traditional holiday nails by using purple instead of green. Keep reading to find out how to create nails perfect for all of those Christmas parties and get-togethers!
For this manicure I used NCLA’s Satin Sheets, Velvet Ropes and This Is Hollywood from the Hollywood Heartbreaker Kit ($29) and She Will Rock You from the Rock N’ Royalty Kit ($29). You’ll also need scotch tape on hand for this look!
Begin by painting your nails with the red polish. Allow the polish to dry completely before moving on!
Next, paint your ring finger and thumb with the gold glitter polish; make sure the glitter is evenly distributed.
Triangles will be painted at the base of the other three nails. Start by getting two pieces of tape, sticking them to your skin (its lessens the stickiness) before placing them in an upside down “V” on the nail, like I’ve done below.
Fill in the triangle with the purple polish and apply at least two coats to be sure the red polish doesn’t show through. Let it dry for a minute or two, then remove the tape.
Do this on all three remaining nails, and finish off your manicure with a topcoat to seal the look in and prevent chipping!
