EYES

Prime your eyelids, then start with some color by applying a duo chrome grey-silver eye shadow all over your lids with a flat shader brush – make sure to keep the color below your crease. Next, using a fluffy brush, blend a matte nude shadow through your crease to blend they grey shadow gradually upwards. For some added drama, take a navy, deep purple, or black (if you want to avoid color), on a stiff dome shaped brush and place this color in the outer V of your eye. This will look dramatic at first, but once you blend it out with the fluffy brush, you should get a nice gradient of color (lightest toward the inner part of your eye, and darker towards the outer part). For a special New Years Eve flare, grab a silver glitter and using a shader brush place the glitter on the center of your eye and slightly in your inner corner. Finish off your eyes with some black eyeliner on your upper and lower lashlines, mascara and some false lashes – it’s New Years Eve: go big!

FACE

Since your eyes will be pretty dark, try to keep your face makeup simple and clean. Prime your face and apply your foundation/BB cream/tinted moisturizer and concealer. Once you have this base on, powder your skin. This step is essential to make your makeup last all night! Now take a take a matte bronzer (like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer) and contour your face. Do this by using a small tapered face brush and place the bronzer in the hallows of your cheeks, along your jaw line, and along your temples and hair-line. Blend this out with your foundation brush or fingers. Next take a blush of your choice (I will be wearing the Tart Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed) and place the color below the apples of your cheeks and blend upward slightly. Finish off with a finishing spray to make your makeup last all night – the Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray is a great one to try!

LIPS

Lips: For your lips start by moisturizing them with chap stick or Vaseline. Next, use a lipstick color of your choice – I am going to use a light pink color called the Victoria’s Secret Color Drama Lipstick in Exquisite. You can line your lips for a little more definition if you so wish!

And that is it! Happy New Year, Collegiettes! Have fun, and be safe! HCXO
