We’ve seen the asymmetrical cuts, the undercuts, and the side cuts. We’ve done the bob and the lob. And we have even seen the angular and geometric cuts. Truly, we’ve seen it all, but this season, we’re getting an upgrade. Take these photos in to your stylist—you’re going to want to try these cool cuts.

1. Extreme Partings

Think extreme hair-parts were a thing of the 2000s? Nope! It’s back and it’s better. You can try it with a bob, but even if you’re not ready to make the chop, you can still get the look. While your hair is wet, just create a deep part, push it over, and then allow it to dry before styling and sleeking down the strays. Perfection!

2. Rock-n-Roll Shags

Here’s an edgy take on your classic bob. The messy yet oh-so-polished bangs and the face framing layers are very flattering!

3. Bold Bob

Two amazing things are happening here: a center part with no layers. It’s bold, it’s blunt, and it’s beautiful. The look will really bring attention to your gorgeous facial features.

4. The High-Top

This style is making a comeback. We’ve seen it on guys and we are excited to see it on us power women! Grace Jones killed it and Zendaya paid her tributes. We love it. It’s definitely going to be easier for tightly coiled and kinky hair—the bigger the hair, the better.

5. Modern Bobs

As you can see, 2016 is the year of Cutting. It. Off! We are loving this ’20s inspired bob (not to mention that teenage angst-meets-2016 vibe). How perfectly does this bob frame the cheekbones? Everything about this is wonderful.
