Windsor is the co-founder, President & Publisher of Her Campus Media. At Her Campus, Windsor leads all business development, marketing, and sales, and has been responsible for bringing on clients including Victoria's Secret PINK, Intel, Target, U by Kotex, Juicy Couture, New Balance, and Pinkberry. In the roll of HC-Spokeswoman, Windsor is the official emcee for College Fashion Week and spent Summer 2012 touring the country with Bing. Windsor is a 2010 graduate of Harvard University where she majored in the History of Science with a citation in French. A born & bred southern belle, Windsor is a native of Asheville, NC. At Harvard, Windsor was a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Before founding Her Campus, Windsor interned in the Marketing department at Bloomingdale’s, as well as in the Beauty and Advertising departments at OK! magazine. Windsor enjoys getting dolled up, dancing, reading, meeting new people, working out, and cooking with her fiance Alex. Her passions also include chocolate ice cream, hanging out on her mom's farm with her three younger sisters, sushi, digital media and Her Campus. Windsor was named to Inc. magazine's 30 Under 30 Coolest Young Entrepreneurs, Glamour magazine's 20 Amazing Young Women, and The Boston Globe's 25 Most Stylish Bostonians.

Those of us lucky enough to have survived without injury often find ourselves looking for ways to help those less fortunate.  How to Taste Wine The Fun Way4/9/2013 |
Note: This post is written for those collegiettes ages 21+. Waaaaaay back in 2010, Stephanie Annie and I were named to Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list. While winning the award was pretty freaking baller, one of the best parts was getting to know all of the other awesome startups that won as well. One of my favorite companies on the list is The Second Glass (side note: the day we found out that we won the award, we scooted over to their offices to celebrate). Tyler and Morgan, the founders of the awesome company, set out to create a company that could make wine fun and accessible to youngsters like us. They wanted to help liberate wine tastings from their reputation of being parties for snooty old people. Four years ago, they launched Wine Riot and I am proud to say that I have gone every year that I was legally allowed entry (I’m now 24 – you do the math). Wine Riot is exactly what it sounds like – a super awesome party with lots and lots (and lots) of wine. In fact, if you go to Wine Riot, you may taste 250 different wines. I use may instead of can here because I’m pretty sure you would die of alcohol poisoning if you tried to taste all 250 wines in one night. This year, Morgan, Tyler, and the people at Bordeaux wines were awesome enough to hook us up with press passes so that our entire team could go! We hit the floor hard on Saturday night, bouncing from booth to booth, tasting this and that, loving some, hating others. We had an amazing time. |

 I Gave My Mom a Laptop!2/4/2013 |
Buying presents is never easy. The main goal, of course, is to make the gift recipient happy. Too often you give someone something only to see that forced smile and hear them emit that oh-so-fake “Thanks! I loooove it!” For my mom’s birthday I decided to skip all the stress and give her a hands-down, slam-dunk winner of a present. My mom is a super hard working R.N. and is going back to college to finish up her Bachelor’s degree. (Ironic that my mom is a college student now right? I hope she reads Her Campus!). I’m super proud of her and wanted to get her a present that would show her how supportive I am of her decision to go back to school. I decided that a laptop would do the trick. I found myself googling “Good Laptops for Moms,” “Best Laptops for Women with 4 Children,” “Good Laptops for Adult Students” and other such nonsense. Through Her Campus I was introduced to the HP Pavillion dm1z with AMD Processor (try saying that three times fast). Not only is the laptop bright red (score!), it’s less than 1 inch thick and is super powerful. It sports a AMD processor which basically means that it’s super fast and will help my mom rock her classes this spring. To top it all off, it retails for <$450. When she opened it up she was speechless. She actually started crying and almost dropped the computer on the floor when she jumped up to hug me. Best. Reaction. Ever. |
