Hello guys,

I am home for the weekend. I came home Thursday afternoon and am not going back to school until Monday evening. I had planned on waking up early and packing before my quiz and finishing my homework before 11am and cleaning my room before I left at noon. Let’s just say that didn’t happen and I had to quickly shove my things into my suitcase and doing a super quick clean. It was hectic and I think I had a little mini heart attack doing all of this within three and a half hours but it was all worth it once I got on that bus.

For dinner that night my sister bought me this extremely delicious chicken sandwich (in the picture).

Yesterday I spent most of my time in New York City. The day started around 8am and I didn’t get back home until 7pm. I had some oatmeal for breakfast while in the car on the way to my neurologist appointment.  I then went to meet-and-greets with two different companies, BlackRock which is a financial institution and Warby Parker which makes amazingly funky fashionable glasses and sunglasses. At BlackRock we had a delicious and healthy wraps from Blake&Todd (in the picture).

After I got back from the city, we went straight to New York Sports Club. I was so tired but I went anyways. I did a 45-minute interval workout on the stairmaster. By the end I was dead tired. I burned 575 calories and walked over 270 stories. Apparently I walked more stairs than there are in the CNN tower. I was so proud of myself for working out after a long day. For dinner I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad from Wendy’s, it wasn’t the best but it worked.

Today started with my mom forcing me out of bed so I could go to a Zumba class that started at 10am. I shoved cereal down my throat before running out of the house to make it in time for the class. After a sweat inducing Zumba, I went to UXF Burn, The Ultimate Fitness Experience. According to the MySportsClub page, the company behind New York Sports Club, Boston Sports Club, etc., “the UXF Ripped and Burn cross-training workouts blend strength training and cardio conditioning to improve flexibility, agility, strength and endurance. Interval training is the key.”

For lunch my mom bought me another grilled chicken Caesar salad (in the picture) from Original’s Pizza in my town. After an extremely long and definitely deserved nap, I had a Ramon noodles, without the seasoning, for dinner. My snack was a handful of Cheez-its and a fruit smoothie. I know I haven’t really been on the SELF’s Drop10 Diet while I’ve been home but I have been healthy the entire time.

Tomorrow I am going to the gym again. I have no idea what I’m going to do while I’m there but I’m sure it’ll be hard and I’ll want to quit but I won’t. I have an amazing support system behind me, my family, my friends, and you guys, and I know I’ll make you all proud.

Moral of the story: having an amazing support system makes the worst workout and the bad days seem a little less terrible. I am very glad to be home and to be able to work out with my mom.

Till next time my loves,
Danielle
