Hi collegiettes! It has been such a long week so far, but alas, the end is near! This week I’ve been completely focused on what I want to achieve from this program. I have to earn my bikini bod by working hard and staying on track. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking: “That’s obvious, Morgan.” But it’s good to remind yourself that the amount of weight you lose is a direct result of how much effort you put into it. Since realizing Monday that I’ve already lost some weight, I’ve been pushing myself harder to make more improvements!

DIET

I’m happy to say I finally made my own version of the Eggy Sausage Stack yesterday! I didn’t have any sausage to work with, so I stuck with just eggs (so I guess I just made “Eggy” since it was sans sausage and nothing was being stacked…). I mixed one egg and one egg white with a splash of plain, nonfat almond milk and topped it with some spicy salsa and a sprinkle of fiesta blended cheeses. I paired it with a bunch of grapes for a meal that was both filling and tasty!

As I was checking out SELF’s Drop 10 for more recipes to make this week, I stumbled over to Tone It Up (the company owned by the trainers behind the Drop 10 plan)! Special thanks to my fellow blogger Hayley for telling me more about them – she’s already a lifetime member! Their website has even more recipes to work with on the plan, and I REALLY want to make the TIU protein pancakes. Who knew you could make such deliciousness with cinnamon, egg whites, banana and protein mix?! I sure as heck didn’t. That’s next up on my agenda, for sure. What’s your favorite Drop 10 recipe? I’d love to know!

EXERCISE

I tried out my new kicks from New Balance yesterday (Why did I wait a week to do this, y’all?) and they are THE BEST. They’re so lightweight and comfortable – seriously my new favorite running shoes. I hit the gym with my friend for over an hour yesterday and it feels awesome afterwards to think about what all I accomplished during my workout. We like to warm-up with a walk outside around our apartment complex and then uphill around nearby condos before hitting the gym together for HIIT workouts and strength training. If you haven’t already, I definitely recommend finding a gym buddy! I wouldn’t be as motivated without her inadvertently pushing me to do better. The longer she stays at the gym, the longer I want to stay. By the end of this program my goal is to be able to keep up with my friends during our entire workout!

I still have a long way to go, but I feel great about the progress and changes I’ve made so far during the program. The weekly weigh-in I have to do for the DietBet pot keeps me focused. Hey, who wouldn’t want to win some money for losing weight? Be sure to follow me on Twitter @ms_mojohnson or comment below so we can talk about how your Drop 10 plan is going! Stay strong!

Xo,

Morgan
