Lose the Freshman 15: And the Results Are In!

It’s weigh in day!

I just realized that I didn’t do a weigh-in post last week. It was because of all the chaos of New York, but I’m here with my weigh-in results and very excited. I’ve lost 5.8 lbs over these last two weeks. I know we all watch the weight loss reality shows and desire to have double digit weight loss results in a week, but I’m perfectly happy with how far I’ve come. My goal is to be in the 170’s by my birthday (March 28). I only need to lose 4 more lbs and I’m there. Have any of you done any weigh-ins lately? What were your results?

Yesterday, I had a very inspiring day at the gym. I did 30 minutes of the interval workout on the elliptical, 10 minutes on the cross-trainer, and a 5-minute run. I just didn’t want to stop!  Hopefully I have just as much energy when I work out tonight.

Tonight I’ll be going home to Ohio and I promise myself I will stick to my diet. Because my mother is a single parent, she doesn’t cook often and I’m sure we will be eating out. Even if I have to order the blandest grilled chicken breast accompanied by steamed veggies for every meal, I’ll do it! If I can’t learn to stick to my diet in situations like this, I’ll never reach and maintain my weight loss goals. As far as workouts, I’m hoping I won’t be lazy and will wake up early to get in a quick workout around the neighborhood. Since the weather is going to be nice, I was thinking about using my puppy, Kai, to help me. She loves going on walks, so I think I’ll grab her early in the morning and go for a run or walk for 30-45 minutes.

It sure sounds like I have it together. Now I just have to do it! I’m not sure if I’ll have time to blog while I’m home, but I’m definitely going to try my hardest. Stay positive girls!
