The year is 2012. You’re seated in a crowded movie theater in a Team Edward T-shirt, watching vampires and werewolves fight to the death. Life is good. But, now that the Twilight movies are years behind you, you probably found yourself thinking, “What’s left for me now?” Don’t worry, ColourPop Cosmetics has your back, even 12 years later. The Twilight x ColourPop makeup collection is here. Well, it was here. It sold out so quickly, and now everyone’s wondering when the collection will restock.
Some of us never left our Twilight era, and that’s OK. I can’t stop using the phrases, “Hold on tight, spidermonkey,” and, “Where the hell have you been, loca?” either. With last April’s announcement of a Twilight show coming to HBO Max, it’s safe to say a vampire renaissance is upon us. ColourPop Cosmetics was quick to hop on the Twilight train and give us fans what we never knew we needed: a Twilight makeup collection. Now, we can all sparkle like Edward.
With its online release on Jan. 11, the collection sold out almost immediately. Ulta Beauty also had an online release for the collection on Jan. 14, which — you guessed it — sold out, too. Fans and Volturi members are now desperate for a restock date.
ColourPop reassured Twilight stans on Jan. 16 that a restock is indeed coming in an Instagram post, but they didn’t give an official release date. Her Campus reached out to ColourPop for more information but didn’t hear back by the time of publication. What will this restock include? Literally everything in the collection.
Twilight x ColourPop includes a shimmering dry body oil, two highlighters, four lip oils, and three ink eyeliners. The most coveted item is probably the eyeshadow palette, which includes 15 cool-toned shades that perfectly encapsulate the foggy Forks, Washington, vibes from the movies.
Despite the collection selling out within minutes, TikTok shared some mixed opinions on the line. Manny MUA tried out the collection and loved the ‘Meadow’ highlighter, but not the ‘Vampire Skin’ shade.
One TikToker @tiffanyglowss had a critique on one of eye shadow colors, but overall expressed praise for the palette.
Personally, I love the forest-y aesthetic the Twilight x Colourpop collection offers. The feeling of comforting nostalgia is an added bonus, too. Keep an eye out on ColourPop’s social media for when this collection will restock. For now, I’ll be here refreshing my feed and rewatching Breaking Dawn Part 2.
