I’m a BU college student who recently turned the big 2-0, but let me warn you girls, the inevitability of growing up does not mean straying away from my eclectic style. In fact, the more I get closer to becoming the adult I want to be, the more I embrace my style and experiment with different looks. Our 2o’s require no boundaries when it comes to fashion. Its all about adding whimsical touches whenever you can, whether that means playing with color, mixing and matching different prints, or wearing high heels and high hemlines.
*Pick a patterned peice. Perhaps a dress? Ultra feminine, lighthearted, colorful, and flirty are all the qualities to look for in a dress- whether its day or night. If your dress is revealing on top, make sure the hemline is a little longer- we always want to be classy!

*Express Excitment. Try a top with personality. It could have tons of sparkles, loads of ruffles, even a washed-out rocker tee would work- anything interesting.

*When it comes to skirts, think sweet over sexy. Twenty-somethings can pull off charming pouf, and bubble-hemmed skirts. Your top should be toned down when your skirt is special.

*Play around with jackets and coats. Wear a tailored blazer over a floaty frock, a sleek leather motorcycle jacket with a breezy floral blouse, or a girly princess cut, or tweed coat atop boot-leg jeans and a tank.

For my first day of preschool I had three staple accessories: Bright pink lipstick, an old leather pocketbook, and my multi-patterned dress- even at a young age, I was boldy flaunting my unmistakable passion for fashion. That deep love for all things trendly ultimately carried me through the next sixteen years of my life. From party dresses to vintage shoes and eclectic accessories, style was always a key component to my existence. My previous internships as a freelance writer and a marketing intern at Turner PR, showed me how important the field of communications can be. And thus I have begun to explore how easily paralleled the worlds of fashion and communications are while working as both a fashion blogger and PR intern at Her Campus!
