All of us here at Her Campus are thoroughly obsessed with the Middleton sisters (see Exhibit A, Exhibit B, and Exhibit C). Not only do we love Kate Middleton (excuse me, the Duchess of Cambridge) because she is a princess but she and her sister, Pippa, are also fashionable trendsetters. Anything they wear instantly sells out in a matter of minutes online or in the store. So, what’s the next big trend that Kate and Pippa are starting?
According to WWD, the sisters are bringing back nude, sheer hosiery. Alright collegiettes™, maybe your reaction was a little similar to mine (“What? Seriously?”). NYMag probably put it best when they mentioned, “since the nineties, sheer nude hose have been largely viewed in this country as an unfortunate thing some unfortunate women still have to wear to work per a stuffy office dress code.” Apparently, this is no longer the case though. Several celebrities have been seen sporting it and, as of late, there have been upticks in the sales of nude hose. Hosiery seems to have taken on a new persona, dropping the once oppressive association for a more elegant one.
