5 Skincare Products that TikTok Made Me Buy

Welcome back to my literal favorite thing to talk about: skincare TikTok. First of all, I’m a firm believer that skincare TikTok is the best TikTok. No explanation needed; it just is. Whether you’re new to the wonders of skincare TikTok or just looking for some shopping inspo (I feel you there!), here are five of my favorite products that TikTok made me buy.

NOTE: I have very dry, sensitive skin, so these particular products are specifically for my skin type! That being said, if you have a different skin type I’d still encourage you to check out these brands!

1. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

If you haven’t stumbled upon @Whatsonvisface on TikTok, you’re seriously missing out. One look at her page and you’ll be obsessed with getting glowy skin like her. So when she recommended this product, I knew I had to try it out. This has become my go-to second cleanser for my super dry skin. I used to love the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, but I was sold on how much cheaper and more convenient this is. Plus, CeraVe has a whole line of amazing cleansers, so if you don’t have dry skin, they probably have another suited for your skin type!

2. La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30

Another one from @Whatsonvisface, because she quite literally is the SPF queen. This has got to be my favorite chemical sunscreen. It has no oxybenzone in it (yay for not harming coral reefs!) and leaves my face super glowy. If you have darker skin, I would definitely recommend this one since it doesn’t leave any white cast!

3. Vaseline

I bet you weren’t expecting this one! Charlotte Parler talks a lot about Vaseline in this TikTok and I admit I was skeptical of trying out Vaseline on my skin, but it’s really become a game-changer for me. It may not be the sexiest product, but it’s a classic for a reason. I put this on my super dry skin at night and wake up with the most amazing glow. Vaseline locks in the moisture in your skin so it doesn’t evaporate into the air while you sleep (that’s called transepidermal water loss, btw). If you have dry or irritated skin, I’d recommend testing this one out!

4. The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%

@Benneiley is a great person to follow on TikTok if you’re interested in Korean skincare and breaking down your routine to the basics. I’m usually wary of using too many acids in my routine because of my dry skin, but this one was really amazing. Azelaic acid is best known to help hyperpigmentation and scarring, and it lives up to the hype. Whenever I have a healing blemish, I put some of this on and it really helps the spot fade faster.

5. Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch

In this TikTok, @Winningskin shows us all of her favorite products from Target! Hydrocolloid patches are one of the best things to happen to skincare in recent history, and I stand by that. I knew about them before, but TikTok made me try them again and I’m hooked! All you have to do is place the sticker on your zit, and it’ll help it heal in only a few hours! These ones by Hero Cosmetics are amazing.
