15 Thoughts You Have While Third Wheeling

We have all been there: you’re planning on having a great night with one of your best friends. Then, she decides to let her significant other tag along. You don’t want to tell her not to bring her S.O., but you also don’t want to be the third wheel. But hey, it couldn’t be that bad, right? Here are 15 thoughts we’ve all had while third wheeling.

1. Oh, this isn’t that bad. We’re all friends. This will be great!

2. They’re just holding hands—perfectly acceptable. Like, a little PDA is okay, right?

3. They’re kissing now… not cool.

4. Phew, they stopped. Good. I was worried for a bit.

5. This is pretty fun. I can definitely hang out with them! Let’s just watch something on TV…

6. But watching ANYTHING on TV sucks. Because they’re cuddling on the couch, and here I am sitting alone.

7. Maybe if I just stop focusing on it, it won’t be as annoying.

8. Nope, nope, it’s still annoying. Definitely annoying.

9. She always acts so different around her S.O.

10.  I really wish someone else was here to make this beyond awkward triangle into a square.

11. I should keep track of how many times they forget I am LITERALLY right here.

12. It’s like they don’t even know I came with them!

13. Oh come on, kissing again?! Get a room!

14. No, no, no. Wait, don’t actually get a room. I’d rather be third wheeling than here by myself.

15. On second thought… Yeah, I should’ve come out alone.
