Romantic YA Novels you Need to Read

There’s nothing better than sitting down, getting comfortable and reading a good book. Reading these cute and romantic YA novels will give you that cozy, heartwarming feeling.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

This is one of the cutest books I’ve ever read and whenever I re-read it I fall in love with the characters again. Set in Paris, a high school senior from the States slowly falls for her new friend, a charismatic and handsome British boy. It’s a lovely story that will make you feel like you know these characters in real life. The best part is that it’s the first book in a three-novel series by Perkins! You can pick up the sequels Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After at Indigo.

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Emily has always been the shy, introverted friend, until Sloan moved to her town, became her best friend. Emily’s life became exciting. Then, Sloan disappears out of nowhere and leaves Emily friendless. Oh, and a list of daring things for her to do. That list leads Emily to push herself to do new things, to make new friends and to open herself up to an unexpected crush. Matson’s charming story has relatable characters and will have you rooting for Emily.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

This funny love story stars Lara Jean and all the letters she’s written to her past crushes. Lara Jean is a lovable and quirky character, so there’s never a dull moment. Not only is this a fun book to read, but it’s the first in a three-part series and it’s being turned into a movie!

Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby

I’m not ashamed to say that Kirby wrote a beautiful story which brought me to tears. This book is sweet, yet heartbreaking at the same time because of the circumstances of the main character. Quinn Sullivan was so completely in love, but her love died. Then she fell for someone else, someone she was only supposed to watch from afar. If you’re into sweet and slow love stories, then this is the book for you.

These romantic books will make you smile and fall in love with the well-written characters, so make sure to pick one up at the bookstore!
