Tailgate Style

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Yale chapter.

Tailgate season has finally arrived!

For the courageous and creative, tailgates at Yale are costume-worthy athletic darty dance party-affairs. Whether your costume is a do-it-yourself mix of random costume pieces, or a tailored suit with a dollar-bill façade (see below), your snap-story worthy efforts will definitely be met with enthusiasm. Halloween can be nearly every weekend if you make the most of games this fall and show your spirit.

This past weekend set the tone for a fun semester of tailgates with whipped cream-filled faces at Pie a Pi Phi, competitive games of cornhole, a costume-filled dance parties, and, most importantly, football victory against Lehigh.

This Saturday, be sure to paint your face, throw on mismatched neon garments, and support Yale Football as they fight against Army. As if you need another excuse to wake up at 6:00 a.m., the lacrosse, hockey, and other preppy sports teams will be there likely dressed gumbies and penguins.
