11 Ways to Show the Fam You Love Them This Valentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Xavier chapter.

Yes, Valentines Day is the perfect time to spoil your significant other (or eat a lot of ice cream and watch chick flicks if you don’t have one), but it’s also the perfect time to show some love to your family! Here’s 10 easy ways to tell your fam that you love them this February:

1) Send your mom or sister some flowers.

2) Make your siblings come yummy valentines day rice crispy treats (Here’s a recipe)

3) Give your mom a gift card to get a manicure (or better yet, take her with you and have some quality mother/daughter bonding time)

4) Buy your parents their favorite bottle of wine for them to enjoy together, and attach a sweet note to it telling them how much you love them.

5) If your feeling extra generous, buy your parents a gift card to their favorite restaurant so they can have an extra special date night.

6) Give your brother his favorite candy and a movie.

7) DIY a mug for your dad (or buy one like this on etsy)

8) Have a Galentines day celebration with your sister (because who needs boys on February 14th anyways?)

9) Do some extra cleaning around the house for your parents (trust me, they will greatly appreciate it).

10) Give everyone in your family a big hug and remind them how much you love them (because that’s what Valentines Day should really be about: telling everyone in your life how much you love them).
