Very few people are awake from 2:00 am to 4:00 am, let alone out and about at that time, but because of that there is a sort of beautiful solitude, observable from the KUGS studio on campus. You watch the Western Shuttle come and go throughout the night, and watch the few students who are still outside scurry back to their homes, all while manning on-air music. There are very few times in your life where you get to be completely alone to you and your thoughts, and although exhausting, it is quite the experience.
