For making it halfway through this semester we all deserve a reward, and that reward is upon us: Fall Recess, here we come! From listening to conversations across campus, it’s not hard to figure out that the majority of us are over this semester already. Here are some ways to “do good” and recharge/prepare yourself to make it through until finals in December.
Look Good
When you look good, you feel good. Taking the time to take care of yourself pays off. Wash your hair. Do your makeup. Paint your nails. Put on jeans in the morning instead of sweats. These little efforts will give you some of the motivation you’ll need to make it through until Christmas Break.
Feel Good
Every busy collegiette needs to make it a priority to take care of themselves. Classes are starting to take over almost all of our time, so we need to be able to mentally adjust in between. First, take the time to destress in a fun, healthy way. Go for a run, watch a movie on Netflix, or treat yourself to some ice cream at Dairy King. It’s important that we all take some time to unwind at some point. On top of that, be sure to exercise and drink enough water. These are just healthy habits anyone and everyone should have. Most importantly: GET ENOUGH SLEEP! Stop procrastinating on your homework and go to bed by midnight. I promise you’ll be thanking me during your next 8 a.m. lecture.
Do Good
So ladies, take advantage of the four day weekend to catch up on homework, sleep, and much needed “me time.” By Monday morning, your week will be off to a wonderful start. Putting in the effort to do good now will pay off by the time finals come around. Just take a deep breath and do your best; we’re halfway there. There’s light at the end of the tunnel!
