10 Problems Every Commuter Can Relate To

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Let’s face it: being a commuter in college isn’t always easy, but sometimes it is more convenient or your only option at a large university! From driving to class in a foot of snow to fighting for parking on campus, commuters have seen it all. Here are some problems every commuter can relate to:

1) Waking up earlier than everyone who lives on campus just to get to class on time

We have a hate-hate relationship with our alarm clock.

2) Getting stuck by a train on the way to class

3) …. Or a really slow driver

4) Fighting for the last parking spot on campus

          Early bird gets the worm!

5) And then forgetting your umbrella at home

That 30 minutes I spent curling my hair this morning just went down the drain in .5 seconds.

6) Feeling like you don’t belong in the cafeteria because you’ve never had a meal plan

7) When someone tells you they would rather commute..

8) Having to walk back to your car across campus at night

9) Walking into the commuter lounge

Awkward..

10) And last, but not least, coming back from class to a parking ticket

Commuters unite!
