10 Style Blogs You Should Be Following

Style blogs have become a major player in the fashion industry because they are a fun, visual way to check out new trends and styles. Frequently you can buy items directly from blogs which is perfect for busy college students. Many style blogs also have awesome Instagram accounts which make it easy for you to stay updated on current styles in between classes or while you’re waiting for your coffee order from Starbucks. The style blogs below are as unique as the women who write them, proving there really is style blog for everyone! In no particular order…..

1.)   Style’d Avenue (@meg_legs) – Style’d Avenue is curated by Megan Mitchell, a twenty something year old trend setter who preaches dressing based on your mood. Her style is casual, chic, and totally approachable and her pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Take one look at her insta and you’ll see why she won a Cosmo award for best hair.

2.)   Song of Style (@songofstyle) – Aimee Song is a globe-trotting blogger with an effortless sense of style and serious wanderlust. From Cannes to Bermuda, Aimee’s pictures are nothing short of amazing and will inspire you to pack a suitcase and buy a one way plane ticket.

3.)   Sincerely Jules (@sincerelyjules) – Sincerely Jules was created in 2009 as an inspirational outlet by Julie Sarinana. Since then, Julie has started her own tee shirt and shorts line which reflects her own beachy, LA style. Julie posts tons of photos from the California coast that’ll have you dreaming of warmer weather.

4.)   Atlantic-Pacific (@blaireadiebee)- Atlantic-Pacific was started by fashion pro, Blaire Eadie.  Blaire worked for Tory Burch and Gap before starting her own blog and her professionalism is reflected in her creative pictures. Sophisticated yet slightly retro, Blaire owns her unique style and breathes new life into classic essentials.

5.)   The Fashion Guitar (@thefashionguitar)- New York based Charlotte, is a totally down-to-earth mama of two with a great sense of style. Charlotte’s style is a unique blend of sophistication and simplicity. Her pictures capture the beauty of the NYC hustle and bustle and make her outfits seem that much more wearable.

6.)   Bethany Marie Co. (@bethanymarieco)- Bethany Marie Co. as the name suggests was started by Seattle resident Bethany Marie. Bethany’s pictures often feature breathtaking views of landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Her astounding photography is second only to her relaxed, neutral based wardrobe.

7.)   Southern Curls and Pearls (@cmcoving)- Preppy girls, this one’s for you! Launched by southern belle, Caitlin Coving, Southern Curls and Pearls began as a way for Caitlin to document her daily life. Since then, Southern Curls and Pearls evolved into a glamorous style blog embodying the sophistication most of us only dream of.

8.)   Gizele a Go-Go! (@gizeleoliveira)- Gizele a Go-Go! is curated by, Gizele Oliveira a stunning Brazilian model with the fashion sense to match. Gizele is always on the move for various modeling jobs and her pictures embody her free spirited lifestyle.

9.)   The Haute Pursuit (@thehautepursuit) – The Haute Pursuit was started by Vancouver based entrepreneur, Vanessa Hong. Minimalistic and edgy, Vanessa’s looks are typically black and white, enhanced by simple gold jewelry. Vanessa also has her own clothing and jewelry line which are the epitome of her modern style.

10.)         Barefoot Blonde (@amberfillerup)- Another NYC based blogger, Amber Fillerup’s style is best described as beach meets feminine. Amber’s looks are always soft and relaxed with a touch of glam and her hair is to die for.

  I grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. Growing up here I knew there was a possibility of going to West Virginia University my entire life. Although I decided to start my college career at the University of Kentucky, those country roads led me back to WVU in the spring of my sophomore year. This was also the point when I decided to establish myself as a Broadcast Journalist student. Since this point I have strived to become the best possible journalist I can be. I am currently working as a weekend reporter for WDTV-Channel 5 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Prior to receiving this position, I worked as an intern with WCHS-tv/FOX11, in the summer of 2014, where I learned critical editing, interviewing, writing, and speaking skills. I worked closely with anchors, reporters, editors, directors, producers, and even the web team. Aside from the television industry, I am the Campus Correspondent for the West Virginia University Chapter of the online entertainment magazine, Her Campus. Another position I currently hold is the Social Media Chair of WVU’s Radio Television Digital News Association Chapter. In the Fall of 2012, I became a sister of the Alpha Phi Fraternity, in which I held the position of ‘Big Sister Chairman.’ My other passions include horse back riding, scuba diving, being outdoors, and running. I am very adventurous and I try to stay well rounded. My goal in life is to live life to the fullest and be the best possible version of myself. My ultimate goal would be to earn a spot as a reporter/anchor for Fox News, New York. I plan to graduate in December of 2016 and look forward to my future.
