5 Questions Guys Are Tired of Hearing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WPUNJ chapter.

As females, sometimes we just can’t help but sometimes share exactly what’s on our mind. When it comes to guys that we have any type of feelings for though, sometimes we can’t help but ask certain questions, even the ones we know they hate to hear. Whether it’s a crush, fling, serious relationship, or eventually husband, here’s a list of five questions that we will eternally pester guys with.

Are you mad?

Okay—so we can admit it, right? Every time we ask a guy this question, some small part of us hopes that the answer is yes. It’s probably the same part of us that thinks if a guy is mad, it means he cares. If he’s mad, it’ll show. The only thing that might be making him mad is that question.

Who are you texting?

While we’re dying to know who is distracting our guy every time he starts paying more attention to his phone than our conversation, there’s no way to ask this question without sounding like a green-eyed monster. There’s also no way his response won’t include an eye-roll.

Do you like me?

This is a question we love to ask, especially when we know the answer is yes. Guys don’t like to talk about their feelings nearly as much as we do. They’re also not nearly as good at hiding their feelings—so if he likes you, it will show. Save him the embarrassment of explaining how he feels for the hundredth time.

Is she prettier than me?

This question is one we are all guilty of asking a guy at least once and one that guys know the answer to every time. But nobody wants to constantly be reminding somebody how beautiful they are. It gets old fast. We don’t need anyone but ourselves to tell us that anyway.

Do you even care?

This question can drive a guy crazy. There is nothing more annoying than to have someone question something that should be obvious. If he didn’t care, he wouldn’t be around, and if he didn’t care, he definitely wouldn’t put up with all our annoying questions.
