The Ultimate Winter Bucket List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

1. Have a neighborhood snowball fight!

2. Hit the slopes or go sledding!

3. Decorate the tree!

4. Attend a holiday parade!

5. Make giant ice marbles. Just fill balloons with water & food coloring and let them freeze over night!

6. Go on a date to the skating rink.

7. Make a gingerbread house with your favorite candies.

8. Have a DIY spa night with your girls! Complete with face masks, mani-pedis, eyebrow waxing…

9. Build a snow fort. Or a castle.

10. Try unique hot cocoa recipes!

11. Go on the hunt for the most outrageously decorated house you can find.

12. SNOW PAINTING. Yes, this is still a thing. Just mix some up some Kool-Aid (or add food coloring to water!) and find a squirt bottle!

13. Join those cute boys down the street for a game of backyard hockey. Or just admire them from afar…

14. Convince yourself to go Christmas caroling and regret it 3 doors later.

15. Gather your besties and hit Bath & Body Works to find the greatest Winter-theme-scented candles & body products!

16. Build a snowman! *tries to resist the urge to use a gif from Frozen but fails*

17. Take the polar plunge!

18. Pull on some fuzzy socks, pour yourself some wine – or hot cocoa! – and cozy up by the fire with a good book.

19. Make snow angels.

20. Memorize the choreography to “Jingle Bell Rock” if you haven’t already.

21. Go snow tubing. It’s infinitely better than regular sledding.

22. Build a blanket fort – complete with cute little string lights – and watch a heart-warming Christmas rom-com with that special someone (or your cat).

23. Kiss someone cute on New Year’s!

24. Watch all four Home Alone movies and again confirm the first one will always be the best – even though this iconic line is from the second movie…

25. Go thrift store hunting for ugly Christmas sweaters.

26. Take cute pics in said sweaters.

27. Make your own ice cream out of snow! Just mix 8 cups of fluffy snow with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk & 1 tsp. vanilla. And of course, add some colorful sprinkles, too!

28. Have a Secret Santa exchange with your friends!

29. And of course, bake some holiday cookies!

And if you complete all the above, just for kicks, you should definitely try to lick a metal pole.
