How To: Recover from Game Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

So you’ve been partying on Langdon Street all morning celebrating with fellow Badger football fans.  You jumped around and cheered the Badgers into their victory.  And all of a sudden fourth quarter hits and you are coming down from the excitement of your day.  To survive the next couple of hours, you’ll need to know some important tips.

  1. Clothing

Change into the most comfortable pair of sweatpants you own and throw on your softest t-shirt.  If some items of clothing turn out to be backwards or inside out, forget it.  Anything is better than that beer-splattered tank you’ve been in all day.

  1. Food

Maybe the most important part of the afternoon, get yourself some food.  If it is not dripping in grease, then you’ve done something wrong.  While you’re at it, why not soak it in some ranch?  You will be the happiest Badger around.  This doesn’t have any calories, right…?

  1. Sleep

At this point, you are probably the most useless human being in Madison and the last thing you should do is attempt to be productive.  Wrap yourself up in blankets, crawl into bed and pass out.  Trust me, you will thank me after this amazing nap.

Repeat these three steps after every Badger football game, and you will be ready for whatever the night brings.
