While Halloween is all the hype right now, there’s also another exciting holiday right around the corner—Christmas! I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve been listening to Christmas songs since the beginning of October (sorry roommates). So if you’re anything like me and anxiously waiting for Christmas, here are some Christmas inspired Halloween costumers to get you into the spirit a little early. After all, two holidays are always better than one!
1. Santa & Mrs. Clause
Think of this one as the ultimate couple’s costume. What better way to show your love for your significant other than with the most eternal couple of all time?
2. Elf
Do yourself a favor and skip the pointy ears & shoes, this costume is meant to be cute.
3. Christmas Tree
I’ve seen so many costume ideas for a Christmas tree online that this will probably be considered a basic girl costume in the upcoming years.
4. Present
Everything is cuter with a bow on it.
5. Candy Cane
Take full advantage of this one lazy UW students—if you have game day bibs, consider your costume complete!
6. Snow ‘Woman’
Who said Frosty the Snowman couldn’t look cute?
7. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
It’ll probably be so cold out on Halloween night that your nose will turn red anyway!
8. Gingerbread Woman
The perfect mix of sugar, spice, and everything nice.
9. Ornament
I’m pretty sure an M&M costume would work just as well for this costume.
10. The Leg Lamp
‘A Christmas Story’ is one of the most iconic Christmas movies of all time, so why not combine the sexy appeal of Halloween costumes with the major award of all Christmas movies? There’s no time better than Halloween to dress as what can only be described as ‘the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window’.
(PS- PLEASE watch this movie this holiday season if you have never seen it, trust me—it will NOT disappoint)
11. Grinch & Cindy Lou Hoo
Another couple costume opportunity! The idea of having your boyfriend dress up as a green monster who is trying to steal Christmas away from you may seem a little dark, but this costume is too cute to pass up! Forget the weird looks, The Grinch’s heart did grow 3 sizes that day.
We DO live in Wisconsin, for all we know there might be snow on the ground come Halloween! Forget about Halloween being about scary things and try to spread some Christmas cheer!
