College Majors as Disney Characters

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Who says you’re too old for Disney? We all have a childhood favorite movie or character that we love or possibly even relate to. Maybe our college majors can tell us which of these characters we can connect to on a spiritual level…

Biological Sciences:
You’re Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Snow White is cheery and keen on all things living, whether that be the wildlife or nature. She is actually the original animal whisperer. Not all biology majors may burst into song, but maybe they should think about it.

Business:
You’re Tiana from Princess and the Frog!

Tiana’s dream has been to open her own business ever since she was a young girl. She’s hard-working, ambitious, and dedicated to her goals. Business majors are on her level and we all wish we could get on it.

Engineering / Physics:
You’re Tadashi from Big Hero Six!

Tadashi literally built his own robot, Baymax. He’s living the dream of engineering students everywhere.

English / Journalism:
You’re Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

Belle is nearly always seen with a book in hand. When she’s not reading, you can find her being outspoken in her opinions. Any major that revolves around reading or writing can see themselves in Belle.

Education:
You’re Mufasa from Lion King!

Mufasa naturally has a very paternal nature. He’s ready to show his son, Simba, the ropes. He’s strong and compassionate, just like our future teachers.

Fine Arts:
You’re Rapunzel from Tangled!

Rapunzel often spends her time in the tower doing something related to art. Like fine arts students, she is very free-spirited and fun with an artistic soul.

Foreign Languages:
You’re Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast!

Other than the obvious French accent Lumiere has, he is a bold and daring character. Anyone who decides to learn another language and really immerse themselves in another culture has to be like him.

Gender and Women’s Studies:
You’re Mulan from Mulan!

Mulan is a fierce, strong warrior who also happens to be a girl. Like Mulan, these students are smashing the patriarchy one step at a time.

History / Classics:
You’re Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire!

Milo is set on proving the existence of the lost city. He has a lot of knowledge on the ancient city of Atlantis and also has the mind of a great historian.

International Studies:
You’re Aladdin from Aladdin!

Aladdin is a fun-loving and intelligent guy. He would surely love to learn about and see the whole world. I mean, “A Whole New World”, anybody?

Physical Sciences:
You’re Yzma from Emperor’s New Groove!

Yzma is a true innovator. She is definitely on the eccentric side, but she’s also a brilliant inventor. Physical science students, especially those interested in chemistry, are on the same wavelength.

Political Science:
You’re Pocahontas from Pocahontas!

Pocahontas is fairly free-spirited, yet don’t let that fool you. She is “woke” and knows her stance on important issues. Political science majors similarly know what’s up.

Social Sciences:
You’re Jane from Tarzan!

Jane may be studying gorillas in the movie, but she’s still extremely curious about everything. Like Jane, social scientists have an innate interest in the world around them.

Undeclared:
You’re Anna from Frozen!

Anna is quick to follow a new dream, only to decide to do something else in a few days. One day you want to be a doctor and the next day you would rather herd sheep in Iceland. How can anyone ever pick a major?

There are infinitely more college majors out there, so if we missed yours let us know which Disney character you think you are!
