It’s that time of year again. The time that makes single girls cringe, binge watch sad romance movies and long for roses to magically appear at their doorstep. No matter your circumstance this V Day, here’s to every single lady out there.

To the single ladies.

Defined by Queen B herself.

Run on pure independence

and a tall bottle of wine.

This day is for you,

to show yourself your importance

and celebrate true love;

your unquenchable self-admiration.

For you know the true value;

the value that no guy gets to define,

especially with the love

of yours truly; galentines.

Some will try

to walk in and change you,

claim you as their own

and actually date you.

It may be the timing

or the fact that he,

as the ever true line says,

is not the sun.

It may be that you made him the sun

and demoted yourself to the moon.

Until you found that your light

is not reflected, but shines on its own.

So on this day devoted to love,

remember what is important:

wine, chocolate and Adele on replay.

But mainly the fact that you are loved.

You know every detail about yourself,

so love the very last bit of it

because no status ever defines

the insane amount you are loved.

Because being single doesn’t have to be something you hate. Celebrate yourself this Valentines Day!
