8 Reasons We’re Glad the Horoscopes Aren’t Changing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

Upon announcing the 13th zodiac sign last week, NASA caused frenzy amongst us horoscope followers.  Everything we thought we had known seemed false. Then after much research, it was established that zodiac signs were remaining exactly the same—HUGE sigh of relief! Here are 8 reasons why we are glad zodiac signs stayed the same:

1. Compatibility

Many people look at their zodiac signs to see who they should date, marry, or befriend based off sign compatibility. Maybe your fate wasn’t written in the stars after all.

2. Daily fortune

If you’re anything like me, you check your horoscope every morning to see what the day has in store. But what would happen if you were actually living a life that you weren’t supposed to lead?

3. Tattoos

There’s really no going back on this one. Something is definitely not right if you have a water bearer splattered across your back, but you are no longer an Aquarius.

4. Jewelry

Nothing is better than wearing a beautiful gemstone that matches all of your other jewelry. There IS something wrong with having to re-accessorize because you have a new birthstone.

5. Personality

According to psychics, it is believed that people behave in certain ways based off of their zodiac signs. Some signs are said to be shy while others very forward and outgoing. Looks like you will have to change how you behave!

6. Dreams

While it might seem crazy, avid horoscope followers believe that their dreams are a product of their astrological signs. Dreams really don’t come true after all.

7. Career

Does your horoscope say you will have much success at work this week? Maybe not anymore…

8. FoodCertain foods can serve as remedies and delights depending on your zodiac signs. Beware, you could’ve been eating the wrong foods your whole life!

All we can say is we are THRILLED our horoscopes stayed the same. Who knows how twisted and confusing our lives would be if Ophiuchus was truly the 13th sign!
