2015 New York Fashion Week: What’s In Store

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wisconsin chapter.

This year’s New York fashion week, which lasts from February 12th to 19th, is full of amazing designers, hair, makeup, models, and of course, clothes. Elle magazine has confirmed that this will be the last show held at Lincoln Center, so it should be the best yet!

Here’s to the many great fashion shows the Lincoln Center has held and to the last!

At this year’s ‘farewell’ show, here’s what to look forward to:

Peter Copping debuting his first clothing line as creative director for Oscar de la Renta.

Copping was previously the artistic director for Nina Ricci. Each day, sneak peeks of the brand will be released until the date of the show on February 17.

Kanye West presenting his Adidas collection.

Kanye is definitely embracing the fashionable athletic look, and wants others to do the same. His new Adidas collection could bring rise to more casual looks on the runway.

Possibly (and hopefully) more menswear lines.

There has been talk about creating a fashion week just for menswear, perhaps as soon as July 2015!

Increased amount of wearable technology.

Technology has definitely become an integrated part of society, so it only makes sense that they are finding ways to add it to our daily wardrobes.

Of course there are plenty more things to look forward to, such as emerging designers and models, and all the amazing creations on the runway. So get ready! It’s a new year with new fashion; let the strutting begin.
