Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year—an opportunity to give thanks and stuff my face shamelessly. We all have our own personal list of things we’re thankful for, but there are some things that all college girls, no matter what, are thankful exist on this Earth. So from college girls everywhere, we give thanks for these blessed creations.
1. Brunch
We give thanks for this great opportunity to bond with your girlfriends and the perfect excuse to be drunk before noon.
2. Online Shopping
Thanks to this beautiful invention, we can now score the latest styles without leaving the comfort of our couch.
3. Buzzfeed Quizzes
Because without them, I would never have known what type of dinosaur I am, which One Direction member I should date, and the junk food that most represents me (pizza, in case anyone was wondering).
4. Netflix
Netflix—the proud supporter of procrastinating college students everywhere.
5. Leggings
No, but thank goodness leggings are. Pair them with an oversized sweater, and it’s like wearing pajamas to class but without all the judgment.
6. Wine
Without it, GNI just wouldn’t be the same.
7. All things pumpkin-spice
Let’s just admit that we’re all a little basic, and we simply can’t resist pumpkin-spice calling our name.
8. The Baseball Cap
Thank you, baseball cap, for being there for us and for understanding that not only are we too lazy to shower, but we can’t even summon up the energy to put some dry shampoo in our hair. (If you want to hear more about our love for these babies, check out the love letter our HC member wrote them).
9. Ryan Gosling
I don’t really have a sound explanation for this, but I know I’m not alone when I say, “Thank you Ryan, for just being you. Don’t go changing.”
10. GPS
How people managed to travel anywhere without the blessed guidance of Google maps on their phones, is anyone’s guess.
11. Your Girls
In college, your girlfriends are your second family. They’ll make you laugh until you cry, will take a swing at anyone who tries to hurt you, and you know they’re by your side 100%. At the end of the day, you’re forever thankful to have them in your life.
