Starbucks Has Halloween Themed Fraps for a Limited Time and They’re SCARY Good

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winthrop chapter.

For all of you coffee lovers, so basically most college students, Starbucks has added two Halloween-themed frappuccinos to their menu!

The first drink, deemed the “Zombie Frappuccino,” gets its name from the clever use of pink whipped cream that bears a striking resemblance to a human brain. This frap is made using ingredients that mimic a sweet and sour green caramel apple, making it the perfect drink to put you in the Fall spirit!

While this frappuccino is absolutely adorable, I’m not so sure I’d try it again. The caramel apple flavor is definitely strong – in my opinion a little bit too strong. The aftertaste of this frap is just a bit too sour for my taste, but other than that it was pretty tasty!

The second festive frap is called the “Frappula Creme Frappuccino”. This drink is flavored with chocolate sauce, mocha sauce, and strawberry puree topped off with whipped cream. The strawberry sauce gives this drink the appearance of blood, hence the Dracula reference in its name.

Unlike the zombie frappuccino, I absolutely loved this! The mix of chocolate sauce and strawberry puree creates a nice, sweet flavor, but I will say this: get ready for a sugar rush because this drink is extremely, EXTREMELY sweet.

Side note: If sweet drinks aren’t your favorite, Starbucks also has mummy cake pops to celebrate the Halloween season! While I don’t have an actual picture of these adorable little snacks, I have tried them and can definitely say that they’re a solid 9/10.

So, collegiettes, if you’re looking for a sweet and spooky treat, hit up your nearest Starbucks – these are only available for a limited time!
