We all know her as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, but what some of you may not know is that Reese Witherspoon has recently broken into the fashion industry.
Witherspoon created her own clothing, accessory and home decor line called “Draper James” and it is perfection.
Witherspoon’s first store opened in Nashville in October 2015. The company is named after her grandmother Dorothea Draper and her grandfather William James. She wanted to create a company that would pay homage to her Southern roots and she most definitely succeeded.
Draper James is the line to wear for Southern woman everywhere in the Bible belt. With adorable dresses and fun accessories, you’ll be the belle of the ball at any event you attend.
Though the line is pricey, it is totally worth it for the glamorous Southern look you might be going for.
Here are a few of the cutest pieces from Witherspoon’s new arrivals.
1. Wedgewood Striped Organza Dress ($295)
The beautiful print, soft color, texture and shape of this dress make for quite the show stopper. This dress is perfect for a wedding, church, Carolina Cup, Easter and so much more. Its versatility allows it to be worn again and again with different accessories to change up the look just a little bit each time. Wear a cardigan with it for one event or pearls for another. You can switch out the sash too for another color if you wanted to. You can either wear heels or wedges or even some cute little sandals.
2. Margaret Solid Skirt ($165)
This scalloped skirt is a must have for your closet this spring. It’s an appropriate length for work so just throw on a cute shirt and some neutral heels and you’re good to go. Again, this is another item to wear to church. It could also be worn for a date night or some other work function. It’s going to look different every time you wear it because you can change and add so much to it. You can wear it with boots, flats, sandals, wedges or heels. Pair it with a scarf or long necklace and a patterned shirt. You can also add a thin belt to it.
3. Lemon Plate Set ($38)
So this is obviously not a clothing item but it’s just too cute not to include—not to mention that it’s a new arrival and adorable! The bright colors and design are perfect for spring and summer. Set them out for a casual dinner party or a barbeque with the neighbors. Everybody will love eating from the classy set.
4. Gone Shoppin’ Canvas Tote ($48)
For all of our environmental people out there, this tote is perfect to take with you when you go grocery shopping so that you don’t have to use the plastic bags. It’s a good size and it’s super cute. Whether you’re going grocery shopping, clothes shopping or just walking around, this bag can be used for it all!
5. Hyde Collection Lace Dress ($350)
This gorgeous lace dress is to die for! It’s perfect for date night or a night out with the girls. Like the skirt, it is an appropriate length for work and church as well. It is less versatile than the other items but it is my personal favorite. You can mix it up by wearing different shoes and jewelry each time you wear it. You can put on some strappy heels one night and some wedged booties another night.
