MY FAVORITE LIP PRODUCTS FOR THE SEASON

I don’t know about you, but lip products have always been one of my favorite pieces of makeup. Lipsticks and lip gloss can add so much to a look, and there’s so much possibility to them. I personally tend to go towards darker colors, which is perfect for the upcoming season. So, in the spirit of the holidays, I’m deciding not to gatekeep. Here are some of my favorite lip products for the upcoming season!

1. E.L.F. HYDRATING CORE LIP SHINE IN HAPPY

I cannot sing high enough praises about this. This shine is basically a tinted lip balm, and keeping your lips hydrated during the cold weather is extremely important. I own this product in two shades, Lovely and Happy, but Happy is definitely my favorite of the two. This shade is a pretty nude-dusty pink color and blends beautifully, and I’m partial to using it as a base for my lip gloss. But on days when I’m not feeling a lot of makeup, this is nice to just add a little pop of color.

2. Revlon Super lustrous lipstick in rum raisin

I was really hesitant when I bought this, but I ended up absolutely LOVING this shade! I’ve never owned a Revlon lip product before, and the consistency and formula of the Super Lustrous Lipstick is so smooth and buttery. The color is absolutely gorgeous, a beautiful berry color with a hint of something just a bit orange. I like to apply this in small strokes to give depth to the E.L.F. Hydrating Core Lip Shine, but I love to wear on its own too! Out of all the lipsticks I’ve ever owned, this one is definitely my favorite.

3. NYX Butter gloss in ROCKY ROAD

NYX is one of my all-time favorite brands, so I instantly knew I would love their Butter Gloss. It’s super opaque but blends out nicely, making it the perfect consistency for when you want something bold to wear but love that glossy look. This is probably the darkest red lip product on this list, which I know can be a little daunting, but I really cannot recommend it enough. I like to apply it to the center of my lips and blend it out from there for that pop of color. The Butter Gloss will always have a special place in my heart, and it’s perfect for that cold weather look.

4. cLINIQUE ALMOST LIPSTICK IN BLACK HONEY

Now, I know that everyone and their mama loves this lipstick, but that’s for a reason. Clinique really knows how to make a beautiful red, and I carry this around with me EVERYWHERE. It is a bit pricey, but I have had my tube for years and still have plenty to go. The consistency is just to die for, and I love to just wear it by itself (but I will say that if you’re looking for something a bit bolder, Black Honey and NYX’s Rocky Road go just perfect together.) Black Honey is a perfect winter red, and if you’re looking for a gift for that makeup lover in your life, this will definitely brighten their day.

5. NYX FAT oil lip drip in scrollin’

Like I said, I’m a big fan of NYX’s products. I actually own the Fat Oil Lip Drip in another shade, Missed Call, which I wore to death in the summer. But now that it’s cold outside, Scrollin’ is just a lovely shade of brown that I fall more and more in love with every time I wear it. It stays shiny for hours, smells delicious, and is probably my favorite glossy-gloss I’ve ever owned. I like to wear it over the E.L.F. Hydrating Lip Core Shine for a beautiful muted look, and you will 100% find me carrying this in my pockets 24/7.
