Sorority big and little relationships are the most important relationships that a Greek woman can have. From day one, girls are obsessed with finding their big and when the time comes, they are just as excited to find their little.
You do everything together. You watch movies together, go to the grocery store together, buy random presents for each other, and she’s even in your most recent convos because you text 24/7. This kind of relationship you have with each other is unstoppable and nobody can break you two apart.
This relationship sounds great, but how do you go about finding the perfect addition to your family tree?

Get to know her during preference round This will depend on if it’s informal or formal recruitment. If it’s formal, this step is for you. The girls who go through pref are the ones who really want to be a part of your chapter. Make them feel welcome because your little could be in this group. If you find her, make every effort to talk to her.
Talk to her at bid dayTalk to her, introduce her to other sisters, eat with her, give her advice, etc. Bid day is extremely overwhelming because here are 60+ women who are all over her trying to introduce themselves and talk to her. It can be very scary. It is important for your future little to feel like she has somebody standing in her corner that she can run too if she gets too stressed out. Make sure that you are that girl. Do whatever it takes to make her feel comfortable.
Invite her to events within the chapterInviting her to sisterhood events and mixers can really make her feel welcome. You want her to feel like she is home and like she is included in things. This also gives you more time to spend together and talk. You’re also in a bigger group so you’ve got the rest of your sisters to back you up if things gets awkward.
Go on one-on-onesOne-on-ones really seal the deal. You and your future little have hung out in groups and get along great! You feel like she is the one. Now it is really time to let her know, WITHOUT telling her, that you really want her. Talk about her, listen, and ask her questions. This lets her know that you care and that you are genuinely interested in her life.
