HerInfluence: Mckenzie Morgan – You could be doing it all

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winthrop chapter.

Have you ever looked at college influencers and kinda get discouraged or overwhelmed with the fact that they make six figures, have their dream job, getting a college degree, etc. Before the age of 23! I look at so many influencers and I wonder how they do it all or if it’s even possible. Well, I found an influencer that does it all and tells us how, her name is Mckenzie Morgan and her story is realistic!

I found Mckenzie Morgan about four months ago. Mckenzie Morgan is a blogger, youtuber, full time college student, in a sorority, she’s a real gal on the go! She’s a sophomore, fashion merchandising major at Kent State and she has a thriving blog and youtube channel.   I first found Mckenzie from youtube, I just enjoyed that she was doing all the things I want to do and she seemed to be managing it all. I truly love Mckenzie’s dedication, she posts multiple videos a week, a blog, and stays so up to date on her instagram! Her blog posts are so long and I can feel her hard work not only by the designs and pictures on the page but by her words. She always promotes that if you want to do something then get up and freaking do it! Last year Mckenzie had 4,000 subscribers on her youtube channel, today she has 49.9k subscribers. During the week she has photoshoots with her friends for her blog or paid promotions but she also eats hot cheetos in the bed at 11 p.m like any other normal college student. She’s such an inspiration in my life because as a Freshman in college with a blog, youtube, channel and trying to be involved in school, sometimes life can get in the way and I’ll find excuses to get unmotivated but she just reminds me that I really can do it all if I put my mind to it and just get off the couch( a.k.a my dorm wooden chair) and do it!

Obviously because she is a college student, college has to come first and I appreciate that about her. So many times I’ll watch college influencers videos and I’ll be like, I never see them even pick up a notebook or even a pen. Mckenzie shows and even tells us about her school work and will often mention how school has to come first, after all that is why we’re here: in these dorms, apartments, sorority houses etc. I know last year when she had those 4,000 subscribers and probably not many video views or blog visits that it wasn’t the most exciting to not see a lot of growth but “She believed she could, so she did ” mentality kicked in and she just started going harder. No views on this video? I’ll just post a longer one next week. It’s the hard work and dedication for me! I just feel as if Mckenzie has a mindset that is so driven and a good push like your dance choreography or gymnastics coach, giving you that shove because they know you can do it.

All my dreams to become a social media manager, youtuber, blogger, etc all seem so far fetched but when I watch Mckenzie they seem only a reach away.

She’s doing it all, you can do it, I can do it, so let’s just do it.
