8 Starbucks Secret Menu Items You Need To Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Winthrop chapter.

Freeze! Put down that Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Now ask yourself, “How many times have I gotten this PSL in the past week?” If you answered more than once, you might need to calm it down with all that Pumpkin Spice Latte-drinking.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes might just be at the top of the list for Most Basic Things About Fall and basic is the last thing anyone would want to be called. Maybe it’s time to try something new! I’ve put together a list of Starbucks items that do not get too much attention and are perfect for fall. As long as they’re not Pumpkin Spice Lattes, they’re not considered basic, right?

Here are some awesome alternatives to the PSL that are perfect for Fall! Just show the recipe to your favorite Starbucks barista on campus.

1. Fall Mash-up Frappuccino

Is Fall your favorite season? Here’s a mash-up of everything that is good about Fall.

  •  Vanilla Bean Frappuccino
  •  Pumpkin spice sauce
  • Toffee nut syrup
  • Top with whip, caramel drizzle, mocha syrup and sea salt

2. The Franken Frappuccino

This is only available from October 29th through Halloween but if you’re sneaky, you can just customize your frappuccino and ask for these ingredients.

3. The Ariana Grande Frappuccino

There is no better name for a frappuccino that is made of all that is good in this world. Don’t forget it HAS to be ordered in Grande size for it to be considered legit.

4. Butterbeer Frappuccino

This is delicious for all people and wizards, whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or not.

5. Buttered Popcorn Frappuccino

I’ve never actually tried this one but I’m very curious as to if it actually tastes like popcorn!

Seems legit.

6. Cookie Dough Frappuccino

It’s cookie dough and it’s obviously heavenly.

7. Samoa Cookie Frappuccino

This frappuccino takes you back to your Girl Scout days!

  • Mocha Coconut Frappuccino
  • 2 pumps of caramel syrup
  • Extra coconut flakes blended in

Make sure to ask for mocha syrup as well to make it look more like a Samoa cookie. They must’ve thought I wanted a Mocha Coconut with caramel instead of mocha, but I think using both will make it more Samoa-esque.

8. Willy Wonka Frappuccino

If the name of that didn’t draw you in, the ingredients probably will.

But who am I kidding? Drink that PSL if you want to and don’t let anyone judge you! Embrace the basic! You can be basic and still be a fierce, independent woman!
