Halloween Makeup Looks To Slay Any Party

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

It’s almost Halloween! The time of year where you can live out your wildest fantasies. Always wanted to be a princess? An astronaut? A slutty cat? Go ahead! There’s no judgment on Halloween! (Unless you’re wearing an offensive costume… then you’ll be judged.)

I am going to introduce you to a wide variety of makeup looks that range from super easy to super intense. But, whatever you decide to go with, you’ll make heads turn!

First up we have some easier makeup looks:

Snapchat Filter

This one is super easy. Just grab some face paint in all the colours of the rainbow, some blush and falsies, and you’re done!

Barbie Doll

Barbie! This is probably one of the most simple looks you can do. Pink lipstick and drawn on lashes and you’re done. If you’re feeling a little sassier, you could go for a Bratz doll look instead. Bring on the full pouty lip!

Vampire

This is a look I did last Halloween. Inspired by my fave show The Vampire Diaries, I drew some veins under my eyes with brown and purple eyeshadow, then added some dark lipstick and blood and ta-da! Vampire!

Wonder Woman

This one looks a little tougher, but it’s truly just a few lines drawn on here and there. Using black lines with white accents, you can turn yourself into a pop art Wonder Woman in no time.

Other Mother

This Coraline look is easy to put together, but also hard at the same time because you have to then figure out how you’re going to navigate the whole night while wearing buttons over your eyes… But it looks really cool, so it’s worth it in my opinion.

Kim Possible

A neutral eye, bold brows, and a two toned lip. Can’t get much easier than this! Red wig and Naked Mole rat optional.

Wednesday Addams

This is usually my go-to Halloween look. A more grown up and glam looking Wednesday Addams is easy to pull off with some super pale foundation, dark lip, and smoky eyes.

Candy Corn Cween

This look is super adorable and helps showcase your love of candy corn!

Bat Girl

A spooky twist on a classic look. This smoky eye might prove more challenging for you if you haven’t nailed winged eyeliner, considering there’s about 3 times as many wings!

Naughty Nun

Maybe not the naughty you were expecting from this nun… This look is very simple, a messy smoky eye and smudged lip with an upside down cross in the middle. 10 minutes tops to do this makeup.

Khaleesi

Another very simple look that will make heads turn. It looks super intense and gory, but it’s really just a smoky eye with blood poured all the way down your mouth and hands. Heart sold separately.

Ventriloquist Doll

Draw on some fake freckles and two lines down your mouth, and you’ve got yourself a doll costume!

Cat

Make your basic costume a little funkier with the addition of some spots around your eyes.

Now we have some more intense makeup looks. These will take longer, but they’ll also stand out at a party.

Frankenstein

This look may require a lot of green face paint, but you will definitely stand out from your normal skinned peers! Fake staples and splattered lipstick makes this look glam.

Glam Pennywise

Pennywise is all the rage right now, but how about mixing it up with a neon pink glam version?

Pumpkin Face/ Mask

A pumpkin face mask is a cute look, or if you’re looking to go a little more intense/spooky, you could do a peel away glam pumpkin face.

Glam Skull

This look is both spooky AND sparkly. What more could you ask for?!

Old Mask

This is a very cool look, and it will make people do a double take when they spot you.

Glam Avatar

This is such a cool glam look that really just requires blue face paint, gems, and highlight.

Melting Skull

Half glam, half spooky. What more could you want?

Stranger Things

This is such a cool way to show your love for Stranger Things!

Ouija Board

This Ouija board inspired look is definitely something you won’t see anyone else wearing.

Post Malone

Most of the Makeup I’ve posted so far has been fairly glam or pretty, but don’t be afraid to do something humorous or outside the box!

Disney inspired makeup looks! The girl who designed these makeup looks took a dark twist on Disney classics, which are perfect for Halloween.

Poisoned Snow White

Frost-Bitten Elsa

Slashed Belle

Shark Bitten Moana

And last but not least, my personal favourite…

Shrek

Happy Halloween!
