Fall Bucket List to Romanticize the Season

The transition from Summer into Fall can be a bit of a depressing time. We go back to school, the weather gets colder and the skies are a little greyer. So here are some fall bucket list items that can help romanticize the season and make you feel like the main character of a fun fall Hallmark movie!

Go to a Pumpkin Patch

I couldn’t make this list and not include going to a pumpkin patch. It may be basic, but it’s practically a fall essential. Even if you don’t pick one out to take home, it’s always fun walking through the patch and seeing some of the different events and activities they typically have going on this time of year! If you do get a pumpkin though, make sure you carve it!

Corn Maze

This one kind of goes with going to a pumpkin patch because some pumpkin patches have a corn maze but they’re still fun to do! There’s nothing like getting lost in a maze surrounded by over six-foot-tall corn stocks because come on, it’s corn!

Apple Picking

Another basic, yet essential, fall activity. It’s fun, plus, think of all the delicious things you can make out of the apples you pick! I mean obviously, you can just eat the apples or make apple pie, apple crisp, apple sauce, etc. Really, it’s a win-win situation!

Bake Fall Treats

Speaking of baking, along with your apple pie, you can also bake some festive pumpkin pie and other delicious fall treats! Whatever you make, make sure you add some cinnamon because that’s a fall essential!

Halloween Movie Marathon

This is perhaps one of my favourite fall activities. There is nothing I love more than getting all cozy and preparing to rewatch all four Halloweentown movies. There is nothing like having a little self-care night filled with Halloween movies on repeat! If you don’t like Halloween movies, you can always watch the Hallmark Fall movies because those are great too.

Walk or Drive Through the Changing Leaves

My absolute favourite part about fall is seeing all the leaves change colour. There is nothing like taking a nice relaxing walk through the park or driving down the backroad to see the beauty of the different colours of the trees, with, of course, the perfect fall playlist playing in the background and a pumpkin spice beverage, although that last part is optional.

Jump Into a Pile of Leaves

Sometimes the best way to romanticize your life is to revisit all the things you used to do as a kid like jumping into a pile of leaves! Especially if you have to rake the leaves anyway, you might as well have a bit of fun while you do it!

Visit a Fall Fair

There is lots of fun that can be had at whatever fall fair is nearest you! From all the rides to all the food (bonus points if you get a caramel apple, that’s very fall-y), people watching and more, the fall fair is the perfect way to embrace the new season and have fun while doing it!

So, while the summer may be over, there are plenty of fun fall activities you can do to romanticize the season and make yourself feel even more like the main character! These aren’t necessarily big activities or something that will take much time, but they’re the perfect activities to do to make the fall even better!
